Introducing the exquisite Cycnodes Wine Delight 'J.E.M.' FCC/AOS, an enchanting orchid hybrid merging the elegance of Cycnodes lehmannii with the allure of Mormodes sinuata.

This captivating beauty boasts waxy red blooms emitting a potent, spicy-sweet fragrance reminiscent of cherries. With 5-7-leaf pseudobulbs resembling tightly-packed carrots, each up to 18 cm long and 3.5 cm wide, and medium-green leaves showcasing nine veins, reaching lengths of up to 35 cm and widths of 6.5 cm, this orchid exudes grace and charm.

Cycnodes Wine Delight blooms year-round, with a penchant for spring and summer. Its wine-colored flowers, up to 10 cm in diameter, feature lanceolate sepals and petals measuring about 5 cm long and 1.7 cm wide. The lip, spoon-shaped and approximately 3.5 cm in diameter, adds to its allure.

To ensure optimal growth, provide abundant sunlight, with 50000-70000 lux recommended for compact size and vibrant foliage. Ideal locations include southern, western, south-western, and south-eastern windows, supplemented with artificial lighting if necessary.

Maintain temperatures between 20-30°C during the day and not less than 15°C at night, with a nighttime temperature 4°C lower than daytime. Humidity levels around 60% are optimal, with regular ventilation to prevent fungal and bacterial issues.

For cultivation, use a well-draining substrate comprising conifer bark, charcoal, fern roots, and sphagnum moss. Transplant only when necessary.

Watering frequency depends on temperature, with daily watering for plants on blocks and well-drained substrate in pots. Ensure excess water drains freely to prevent root rot.

During the growth phase, fertilize weekly with recommended concentrations, alternating between root and foliar fertilization. Adjust fertilizer composition as per growth stage, transitioning from nitrogen-rich to phosphorus-rich formulations.

During winter, induce a slight cool dormancy period if the orchid is not actively growing. Place in moderately illuminated areas with reduced watering until new growth emerges.
