Cultivation Tips:

Light: Provide a light level of 20000-30000 lux, with filtered or diffused light. Avoid direct midday sun exposure. While tolerant of low to medium light, ensuring strong air movement is crucial for optimal growth.

Temperature: Maintain an average summer day temperature of 26°C, with nights averaging 19-21°C. Create a diurnal range of 6-7°C for flourishing conditions.

Humidity: Keep humidity at an average of 80-85%, dropping slightly to 75% in winter. Mimic the natural habitat to encourage robust growth.

Substrate, Growing Media, and Repotting: Grow in well-drained containers or mount on tree-fern slabs. Consider hanging pots or baskets to accommodate its pendent habit. High humidity is vital for mounted plants. Use open, fast-draining mediums like medium-sized fir bark or shredded tree-fern fiber, with perlite and/or chopped sphagnum moss for aeration. Repot when the medium breaks down or the plant outgrows its container, ideally as new roots emerge.

Watering: Water heavily during active growth, ensuring good aeration around the roots. Avoid stagnant or soggy conditions. Reduce watering when not actively growing but never let the plant dry out completely.

Fertilizer: Apply 1/4–1/2 recommended strength weekly during active growth. Use a high-nitrogen fertilizer in spring to midsummer, transitioning to phosphates in late summer and autumn.

Rest Period: During winter, maintain an average day temperature of 23-24°C and nights of 16-17°C, with a diurnal range of 7-8°C. Reduce watering, especially for plants in dark, short-day conditions. Avoid prolonged dry periods but reduce fertilizer until new growth resumes in spring.

This is a blooming size in a 4" pot, about 1 to 2 years to bloom, grown from seed, limited!
