Introducing the captivating Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi var. alba , peloric 2 Eyes, its mesmerizing peloric form, a Southeast Asian species renowned for its sequential flowering and distinctive antler-like spikes. The name "cornu-cervi" translates to "deer antler," aptly describing the unique, wide, and flat spikes that bear enchanting 3-5 cm flowers.
Our peloric form of Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi var. alba boasts fragrant flowers with a robust scent, making it a delightful addition to any orchid enthusiast's collection. The flowers, fleshy and long-lasting, showcase a vibrant yellow hue adorned with small red spots or bars, culminating in a pristine white lip.
What sets this orchid apart is its ability to bloom continuously from the same spike, branching as it matures and improving with each passing year. Our large alba plant, an exemplary testament to its endurance, bloomed continuously for over five years from a single spike, starting its journey as a resilient seedling. Cultivating this species is a joy, as it graciously provides year-round flowers.
To ensure optimal growth and flowering, consider the following cultivation tips:
Environmental Conditions: Maintain a warm environment between 18-24 degrees Celsius, simulating the orchid's natural Southeast Asian habitat. Place it in a semi-shaded location, avoiding direct sunlight that may be harsh for its delicate blooms.
Growing Medium: For moss cultivation, allow the medium to dry well before moderating watering. In bark, water the orchid vigorously and then let the medium dry thoroughly. Adapt your watering routine based on the chosen cultivation medium.
Flowering Patterns: Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi var. alba, especially in its peloric form, naturally presents shape variations. We encourage you to carefully review all provided pictures showcasing flowering examples, with a particular emphasis on 'PELORIC' orchids. Please be aware that, with peloric phals, there's a possibility of reverting to their parentages or grandparents. We want to ensure your satisfaction, so kindly consider this potential variability before placing your order.
This a blooming size in a 3” pot, about 1 to 2 years to bloom, grown from seed, limited!
Embrace the allure of the Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi var. alba ‘peloric 2 Eyes’ – a resilient and fragrant orchid that promises not only beautiful blooms but also an enchanting journey of growth and transformation. Thank you for choosing to cultivate this extraordinary orchid with us!
