Native to the cool, misty forests of the Philippines at elevations above 1000 meters, this medium-sized epiphytic orchid forms compact, attractive clumps of slender, tapering pseudobulbs. In late spring to early summer, Coelogyne marmorata produces slender, arching inflorescences bearing three to six waxy, fragrant flowers.
