At La Foresta Orchids, we strive to provide you with the best experience when ordering and receiving your favorite orchids. To ensure the healthy arrival of your plants, we have established the following shipping policy, which includes guidelines and options based on the season and weather conditions. We guarantee that the plants you receive will be healthy upon arrival, as all of our plants undergo thorough inspection before shipping. Please note that once you have safely received the purchased plant, we do not accept requests for exchanges, returns, or refunds. All sales made through our online store are considered final.

To help you make an informed decision before purchasing, we are happy to provide a photo of the actual orchid you are interested in.While we guarantee the health of the plant on arrival, we cannot ensure the safety of buds or flowers due to shipping conditions. Please be aware that new growths, flowers, spikes, leaves, or buds may dry up during transit.

Due to the nature of our products and sanitary concerns, we do not accept replacements, returns, or refund requests. Plants cannot be returned to our inventory, plants that were exposed under different conditions, stress, or contaminants.

If you encounter any issues with a plant upon receipt, you must read our Return, Replacement and Refund Policy for further instructions and applicable restrictions.

Shipping Process:

Order will be scheduled for shipping next Monday via USPS. Before shipment, we need to ensure that the orchids are adequately dried before packaging. Therefore:

  • Orders placed from Monday through Friday will be shipped next Monday.
  • Orders placed Saturday or Sunday will be shipped the following week's Monday.
  • If Monday is a holiday, we will ship your order the following week's Monday. 
  • We exclusively ship on Mondays to ensure you receive your orders within the same week.
  • We reserve the right to ship your orchids bare root if necessary.
  • We are unable to guarantee specific arrival or delivery times to any address, due to the uncertainties in USPS shipping logistics, packages may not travel directly but through various shipping hubs. Estimated delivery times are provided by USPS, not LaForestaOrchids.com. Please choose USPS Express Mail if expedited shipping is needed.

FREE SHIPPING applies to all orchid orders over $149*. However, due to their size, weight, or time-sensitive nature (requiring expedited shipping), oversized, overweight orchids and Hoya orchids do not qualify for this promotion. A shipping surcharge applies to all orchids in these categories.

We are located in the USA, therefore we ship within the USA and its territories using USPS services. If you don't see your state or country listed during the checkout process, we don't ship there. We do not ship internationally.

We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time due to unforeseen circumstances.

We take pride in our meticulous packaging methods, ensuring that your orchids arrive in good condition during transit. We guarantee the health of the orchids upon arrival if the package remains intact during transit.

  • If you receive a totally damaged package—whether broken, cracked, shattered, crushed, ruined, wrecked, or dilapidated—due to USPS carrier; please refuse acceptance upon delivery. Kindly inform the mailman or postmaster of your decision to return the package to the sender due to its condition. Upon receiving the returned orchids, we will process your partial refund.
  • If your package arrives in good condition but you have any concern with your plants, let us know within 24 hours of receipt, we will proceed in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy.
  • While we take utmost care in packing your plants, we cannot guarantee the healthy arrival of flowers, buds, sheaths, and/or spikes upon delivery.

Please ensure you thoroughly review each product description before making your purchase. All sales are final, once orchids have been purchased and leave our store, we are unable to offer replacements, refunds, or accept returns. This policy is enacted due to our inability to guarantee the well-being of orchids once they are beyond our care, coupled with our lack of control over the conditions in which they are cultivated.

In addition, we make no warranty, expressed or implied, regarding the productivity of any plant sold as a result of this or any other offering.

Summer Shipping Considerations:

During the summer months, it's crucial to take extra precautions to ensure the safe delivery of your orders. 

based on the current weather conditions in your local area, add the most suitable option to your shopping cart.

If you choose not to add any option, please note that your purchase won't be covered by our Live Plant on Arrival Guarantee, and any damage to the plants associated with hot damage will be the responsibility of the recipient.

These options are applicable to all US states and become effective when temperatures rise above 90°F/32°C. By making a purchase, you indicate your agreement with our terms of services and limitations outlined in the Weather Protection Plan - Summer.

Winter Shipping Considerations:

During the winter months, it's crucial to take extra precautions to ensure the safe delivery of your orders. 

based on the current weather conditions in your local area, add the most suitable option to your shopping cart.

If you choose not to add any option, please note that your purchase won't be covered by our Live Plant on Arrival Guarantee, and any damage to the plants associated with cold damage will be the responsibility of the recipient.

These options are applicable to all US states and become effective when temperatures rise above 50°F/10°C. By making a purchase, you indicate your agreement with our terms of services and limitations outlined in the Weather Protection Plan - Winter.

Live Plant on Arrival Guarantee:

We are passionate orchid hobbyists who have a deep love for these beautiful plants, and we are eager to share our passion with others. Orchids, like any living beings, will naturally show signs of aging over time. It is important to understand that even a healthy orchid can exhibit cosmetic damage on its leaves, bulbs, and roots. Additionally, mechanical damages may occur during the repotting process, imports, or shipping, which can include dehydrated or broken leaves.

Rest assured, we guarantee that the orchids we send out are healthy and alive upon arrival. To clarify, a healthy living orchid is one that has the ability to produce new growth, leaves, and roots, and is therefore capable of flowering within the next one to two years, depending on the maturing stage of the plant.

In the event that the orchid you receive shows some cosmetic or mechanical damage on its leaves, bulbs, and/or roots but still possesses the capacity to continue growing and developing over the years, we will still consider it a healthy living orchid. Consequently, we will not be able to accept any refund, return, or replacement requests based solely on such cosmetic or mechanical damages. Our priority is to ensure that all our customers receive vibrant and thriving orchids, and we remain dedicated to providing support and guidance to help your orchids flourish in your care.

Damaged or Lost Packages:

If your package arrives damaged, please contact USPS within 24 hours with your tracking number and provide a picture of the damage for the claim process. Keep the original packages for the claim

In case of a lost or stolen package, contact your local post office to investigate and file a complaint with USPS or your local area police.

We are responsible for filing a complaint with USPS if the package was damaged during transit, but the buyer is responsible for filing a complaint if the package arrives safely and is misplaced, lost, or stolen.

Incorrect Address: 

To address situations where a package is returned due to an erroneously provided address during checkout, we have established a comprehensive return, replacement, or refund policy.

Shipping Restrictions:

We reserve the right to limit the sales of our products or services to any person, geographic region, or jurisdiction.

Shipping Policy for International Customers

Thank you for choosing our website for your orchid purchase. We appreciate your business and would like to provide you with information regarding our shipping policy for international customers, particularly those outside of the United States, including Europe, Latin America or Asia.

There are instances when customers residing outside the USA wish to purchase our orchids and employ a US Mail Forwarding Company to have their packages sent to their respective countries. Please understand that in such cases, we are solely responsible for ensuring the safe arrival of the orchids at the USA address provided during the checkout process. We are not accountable for shipments that are seized or destroyed by regulatory authorities, and you bear all responsibility for adhering to your country's shipping requirements. Please be aware that we will not replace any orchids impacted by such conditions, and the cost of the plant will not be refunded. 

Forward Mailing Companies or Friends

If you are an international customer using a forward mailing company or a friend to receive your order after it has arrived in the United States, please be aware that we cannot be held responsible for the package or the orchids inside it once it leaves our facility and is handed over to the designated forwarding entity. Any issues arising during the international shipping process, including loss or damage, will not be our liability.

IP Address and Order Risk Assessment

In some cases, our system may identify orders from international customers based on IP addresses outside the United States as medium risk. Please note that if your order is flagged as medium risk, you acknowledge that credit card chargebacks are not our responsibility. We urge customers to be aware of their order status and take appropriate precautions when using credit cards for international transactions.

No Chargebacks, Replacements, or Refunds for Medium-Risk Orders

Due to the potential risks associated with international transactions and the use of forwarding services, we regret to inform you that we will not accept any chargeback, replacement, or refund requests for orders identified as medium risk. By making a purchase on our website, you acknowledge that you are doing so at your own risk, and we cannot be held accountable for any challenges or issues that may arise during the shipment process.

Customary Documentation Responsibility

Additionally, please be advised that any customary documentation required by your country's customs or import regulations is your responsibility. It is essential to familiarize yourself with the specific requirements of your destination country and ensure that you provide any necessary documentation to facilitate a smooth customs clearance process.

For International Customers who use mail forwarding companies, you are responsible for any import documents and permits needed for the package to enter your country. It is the buyer's responsibility to adhere to any specific shipping requirements that your country's Department of Agriculture may have.

Address and Weather Responsibility:

It is the buyer's responsibility to provide an up-to-date address during checkout. The buyer must check the 10-day weather forecast for their location and take appropriate actions when extreme weather conditions are expected.
