Orchids Hot Weather Protection - Summer

Important Information - Read Carefully Before Completing Your Purchase!

As we enter the summer months, we want to ensure the safe delivery of your orders. Therefore, we kindly request your attention to the following options available for you to add to your orchids plants purchase: 

Option #1: Cold Pack Only

We schedule shipping for the following Monday after you've placed your order, except for orders received on Saturday and Sunday, which are scheduled for shipment on the upcoming Monday. If your next 10-day weather forecast indicates temperatures above 90°F/32°C, we strongly recommend adding a Cold Pack to your shipment. Without it, we cannot guarantee the health of your plants upon arrival.

When we ship your package with a Cold Pack, it will provide long-lasting cold for up to 72 hours, perfect for hot weather shipping.

However, if your package is left exposed, such as being unattended on the porch in extreme hot temperatures for more than 10 minutes, it might cause heat damage to your plants. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to use the provided tracking number to monitor your package.

Please ensure you are present when your package is out for delivery to receive it directly. We cannot be held responsible for any heat damage that may occur if the package is left unattended in extreme hot weather conditions for an extended period of time.

Option #2: Cold Pack Duo + Signature Required by USPS

Our cold pack offers easy-to-use and long-lasting ice gel packs. These freezer packs can keep your orchids fresh for up to 72 hours when used with our insulated thermal liner. Our gel ice packs provide the best temperature control for shipping boxes of any size, ensuring that your items remain at the desired temperature throughout their journey.

To further enhance temperature control during shipment, we added a stabilizer packs to our shipping boxes, designed to keep products between 69-75F in hot or cold environments. It is particularly well-suited for the shipment of temperature-sensitive items such as plants that require a temperature range of 20°C to 30°C, the stabilizer packs can maintain stable temperatures for longer periods.

This option includes the Signature Required Confirmation Services by USPS, ensuring that your package will not be left unattended unless someone is available to sign for it upon delivery.

It is crucial to receive the shipment on the first delivery attempt or arrange to pick it up on the same date available at your local post office. Failure to do so, resulting in a delay of a day or more, absolves us of responsibility for any resulting losses due to cold weather damage. Therefore, our Healthy Plant on Arrival Guarantee does not apply. Tracking the delivery status is your responsibility, even if the carrier does not leave a notification.

Option #3: Cold Pack Duo + Insulation Thermal + Signature Required by USPS

We understand the importance of keeping your plants safe during transportation and ensuring they arrive at their destination in optimal condition. With our Cold Pack Duo + Insulated Thermal Liner, you can now enjoy peace of mind knowing that your items will stay cool and fresh.

Our gel ice packs provide the best temperature control for shipping boxes of any size, ensuring that your items remain at the desired temperature throughout their journey.

Our insulated thermal liners are made from 100% food-grade and non-toxic materials. 

This option includes the Signature Required Confirmation Services by USPS, ensuring that your package will not be left unattended unless someone is available to sign for it upon delivery.

Option #4. Do Not Ship until Further Notice

We acknowledge that prolonged exposure to cold weather conditions may compromise the integrity of the orchids. As a precautionary measure, we provide you with the option to Do Not Ship until Further Notice — we will hold your plants in our facilities until weather conditions become favorable. Opting for this choice ensures that your order reaches you in optimal weather conditions.

If you choose this option, it is your responsibility to inform us of the appropriate date to ship your package, considering your local 10-day weather forecast. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us deliver your order under the best possible conditions.

Important Notices:

At La Foresta Orchids, we prioritize your satisfaction and the secure delivery of your purchases. Our commitment is to deliver the highest level of service, ensuring that your investment is well protected, and your orchids arrive in a healthy and thriving condition. We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in considering the available options in the Weather Protection Plan.

We recognize that your orchids are more than just plants; they represent an investment and a source of joy. That's why we've introduced these new services to provide you with an effective solution for safeguarding your precious orchids during hot weather conditions.

While we take meticulous care in packing your plants, we strongly recommend adding the Summer Protection Plan to your shipment for the optimal health of your plants. By choosing any of the available options above, you will ensure your eligibility for our Healthy Plant on Arrival Guarantee, except for Option #1, if heat damage occurs.

If the local weather in your area exceeds 90°F/32°C and you do not add any of the options available in the Weather Protection Plan to your shopping cart, your purchase will not be eligible for our Healthy Plant Guarantee on Arrival, and we cannot be held responsible for any heat damage.

If you decide not to add any of the options available in the Weather Protection Plan to your shopping cart, your purchase will not be protected by our Healthy Plant Guarantee on Arrival, and any damage to the plants associated with heat damage will be the responsibility of the recipient. Additionally, your order will be shipped according to our shipping schedule.

We would like to emphasize that La Foresta Orchids cannot be held responsible for delays caused by USPS due to unexpected extreme weather and/or any other reason. Consequently, we will not accept refund, return, or replacement requests if your shipment takes longer than expected due to USPS-related issues. If you wish to expedite your shipment, we strongly recommend selecting USPS Express Mail Service (1 to 3 business days) during the checkout process.

It is important to note that, while you may choose any of the options available in the Weather Protection Plan, we cannot guarantee the healthy arrival of blooms, buds, and/or spikes during shipping.

This is an ADD-ON service to be included with your orchid plant purchases. If you order this product without any orchid plants in your order, your order will be canceled, and a refund will be issued.
